Mark Ogden is the Regional Vice President of Service Provider Sales for ADTRAN. In this role, he has responsibilities for Alternative and other Regional Service providers throughout the Southern United States. A seasoned telecom veteran, Ogden has more than 35 years of experience in the industry. He began his telecom career in marketing with Northern Telecom and then for post-divestiture startup, Integrated Network Corporation. For the past 26 years, he has served in a variety of sales and marketing roles for ADTRAN.

Ogden’s passion for accessible and affordable broadband is evident from his many speaking engagements and advocacy efforts. During the initial federally funded broadband investment programs, Ogden was an instrumental figure in ADTRAN’s activities surrounding the U.S. governments American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and the resulting Broadband Technology Opportunities Program (BTOP) and Broadband Initiatives Program. Ogden represented ADTRAN in the public hearings in Washington D.C. and in private meetings with the chairpersons, chiefs and administrators for the FCC, NTIA, and USDA/RUS. He was also a key participant in meetings with members of Congress and their staff representatives advocating for quick notification and changes to the BTOP/BIP rules, as well as less regulation surrounding the administration of these much needed broadband-enabling funds.

Ogden is a graduate of Harding University and holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. Ogden also holds multiple US Patents for, automatic service restoral, improved network monitoring for high-speed data networks, and extended-reach DSL architectures.

We welcome Mark to the board and look forward to working with him on great new initiatives at FISPA.
